Who I Am

I'm Ana Kelley, a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor with thirteen years of experience specializing in attachment trauma, inner child healing, and the protective patterns we develop just to stay connected to the people we love.

I spent the first part of my career working with children. And somewhere along the way I realized that most of the adults I knew — myself included — were still being run by the same little kid who learned early on that love was something you had to earn, keep, or protect by making yourself useful. By being the one who held it together. By never being too much, or not enough, or anything that might make someone leave.

  • Perfectionists who can't turn it off

  • People pleasers who don't know how to say no or who backpedal when the guilt kicks in

  • Caretakers who stepped into adult roles before they were ready

  • High achievers who grew up where love felt conditional

  • Cycle breakers who are done repeating what was done to them

  • Couples who are stuck in defense mode and want to learn to take off their armor

Who I Help

What lives here on my Root Cause Counselor page isn't therapy. It's everything I've learned — from the research, from the therapy room, and from my own life — translated into something you can actually use. Frameworks, guides, and tools built for people who are smart enough to understand their patterns and exhausted enough to finally want something to change.

How I Help

Everything I create here is built on the same clinical framework I've used for thirteen years in the therapy room — translated into tools you can access wherever you are, on your own timeline, without a waitlist.
